Phoseon’s fluorescence inspection systems employ cool, efficient, long-life UV light sourcesPhoseon’s FX system is an automatic inspection station that employs machine vision techniques to measure the location and thickness of individual deposits of transparent organic materials such as solder fluxes, some adhesives, coatings, and fluids used in medical, chemical, and food industries. The FX incorporates a UV illumination module that excites the organic materials and causes them to fluoresce. Fluorescence information is then gathered and analyzed in real time. Using a technique called ultraviolet fluorescent intensity mapping (UV-FIM), translucid organic materials are quickly and accurately measured. System setup and recipe generation are both completed through an intuitive graphical user interface. Inspection and measurement of result statistics can be output in a variety of external formats (XML, text, Excel) for QA process tracking.
